Claude Integration
Want Claude to manage your checklists for you? You can connect Checklista to Claude in a minute using a little internet standard called MCP — think of it as a translator that lets apps like Claude and Checklista talk to each other safely. Don’t panic. You don’t need to know how it works to use it.
You only need to set this up once, on the Claude website. After that, it works automatically everywhere you use Claude — including the mobile apps. But the initial setup needs to happen on the browser.
- On claude.ai, click your profile icon in the bottom left corner, then click Settings.
- Click Connectors.
- In the top right, click Add and Add custom connector.
- Fill in the form:
- Name:
Checklista Beta - Remote MCP server URL:
https://api.getchecklista.xyz/mcp
- Name:
- Click Add, then follow the instructions on screen.
The first time you do this, you’ll be sent to Checklista to log in and give Claude permission to access your data. You only have to do this once — from then on, Claude will always have Checklista ready to go.
Confirming it works
Section titled “Confirming it works”- In a chat, click the + button next to where you type your message.
- Click Connectors.
- Make sure the Checklista Beta checkbox is turned on.
That’s it! Now you can just ask Claude to create a checklist, or add items to it, and it’ll take care of the rest. We recommend you use it to brainstorm the initial content of a checklist and to suggest new items to keep you confident that you have things covered.
A tip on permissions
Section titled “A tip on permissions”By default, Claude will ask “are you sure?” every single time it wants to do something with Checklista. That’s the safest option, but it can get annoying fast if you’re chatting back and forth.
Our suggestion: let Claude create, update, and view checklists without asking every time, but keep the “are you sure?” prompt for anything that deletes a checklist or an item. That way you get a smooth experience while still getting a heads-up before anything is permanently removed.
To set this up, look for these options under Settings → Connectors → Checklista Beta:
- Always allow: all tools.
- Ask every time: deleting a checklist, deleting a checklist item
